Welcome to my new website

Many of us over 60 are counted out when part-time jobs come up despite our collective wisdom and abilities.

To counter some of this prejudice I have dispensed with sending my CV and have instead created The Complete Picture, an animated ninety second overview of my life to date @ https://vimeo.com/223960456.

I returned yesterday from 14 days in the Sierra Nevada about 60 miles south east of Granada itself where we also had a long weekend. I read John Gill's book Andalucia: A Cultural History first published by Signal in 2008 during my stay. He writes about the amazing success of Chris Stewart's Driving Over Lemons (published 1999). Chris came in for criticism by Margaret Moran who also had a holiday home close by: "His loudest critic was, bizarrely, the Labour MP for Luton South, Margaret...

On Monday, Jack and I went to Wimbledon where it rained from 4.30pm to 6.30pm so we watched the Murray game in the Members' Bar as we only had tickets for Number 1. We finished up at Uno's for supper. It's a pity that Wimbledon doesn't post the weather forecast live preferring to keep the information to itself except of course we access via the net....... As ever Wimbledon hummed - it has to be the best organised sporting event in the world.
