Welcome to my new website
Thank you for visiting my new website.
It has two elements - a Monday-Friday blog on different subjects and a News section.
Blair book first day outsold Mandy's first day 8:1; but better than both is 2nd volume of Chris Mullin's diary "Decline &Fall".

Letter to The Guardian
28th July 2010
Dear Sir
David Cameron is spot on with his comments when referring to Gaza as a "prison camp" as is obvious to anyone who has spent time there. No western country would still be running a refugee camp from WW2 it would embarrass them. But that is what we have in much of Gaza.
What is much more disturbing but hardly surprising is the pathetic pro-Israel demeanour of our own Foreign Office and its unattributed comments made not by a Minister there but some unelected and accountable civil servant.
Dr Kim Howells, then an FCO Minister, visited Lebanon after the dreadful bombardment by Israel in 2006. He spoke his mind about what he saw and was heavily critical of the Israeli govenrment. Tony Blair supported him at the time but to our shame, later removed him from office.
Yours etc
