Welcome to my new website

Many of us over 60 are counted out when part-time jobs come up despite our collective wisdom and abilities.

To counter some of this prejudice I have dispensed with sending my CV and have instead created The Complete Picture, an animated ninety second overview of my life to date @ https://vimeo.com/223960456.

A New Fitness Regime

This time last year I began a training and diet regime which saw me lose nearly 26lbs over the year.

First up was an exercise, diet and vitamin plan which involved me in a 1-1 with a trainer, a diet which involved no meat and no grain and a vitamin plan including green lipped mussels for my arthritis.

The results were encouraging - I lost weight, I gained some flexibility and my arthritis went into remission.

In September, I re-started with a new regime a 1-1 with another trainer and a 1-1 with a physio. I did not enjoy the training programme and found it a tad boring but I did find the physio sessions were really helpful. Nonetheless, maintaining my diet and vitamins I lost more weight.

In November, I was encouraged to move across to the 5+2 diet where for two days you eat no more than 600 calories. This, plus my vitamins and physio saw my weight reduce by another 14lbs.

In December with a birthday and Christmas I put back 11lbs which was a disappointment. (I failed with 5+2).

So, this week I re-started with more purpose than ever to try and reduce my weight further.

I know have a new 1-1 trainer, my physio. the 5+2 diet, plus I am drinking no alcohol for this month, I am continuing with my vitamins and I have joined a gym where I will try and work out 2/3 times a week having done my introductory session and signed up.

So far I have lost 10lbs so I am now back to where I was in late November but believe that I can lose a further 14/16lbs over the next two months!! We shall see.

As it is, I have had to give four suits away to the Trinity Hospice Pimlico shop and whilst a further four have needed the gentle art of Dress2Kill's tailors! One suit has had three inches taken in on the waist alone!!

So dear reader, if you have read this far, don't give up on your health kick for January!!

The results have been encouraging this week despite over celebrating on New Year's Eve
