I'm moving house shortly. I am trying to tell banks and the like my new address.

Here's the record so far:

Sky TV - was disconnected by them after 12 minutes; called back the next day and told that  had to call in two weeks before I was moving. I then asked how the could they be sure there would be a technician to link my system in. "Ah came the reply "you have a point". Another 15 minutes later and they agreed they could take my details down and that they would call me back to confirm. So far there's been no call back. Ten days and counting. Sky agreed to refund some of the cost of my call.

BT - simple you just do it online

Banks - impossible: absolutely hopeless.

Insurance - it took so long I asked them to call me back so the phone call wa a heir expense.

You would think that there would be a single web site where yo could put in all this and for it to be distributed it. You can use www.direct.gov.uk for some national and local government address changes like your driving licence so why doesn't someone do a jv with them??
