I went to Addis Ababa in 2004 en route to Malawi to discuss the Maqdala Treasures held illegally by the British Museum with the Archbishop of Addis and Richard Pankhurst. Ever since, I have kept a close eye on the country.

Yesterday, I met my dear friend, HE Ambassador Berhanu Kebede, for lunch and he asked me to return to Addis to help with the training of their MPs.
