The Syrian War has brought into sharp relief the miserable Russians whose Government struggles to maintain an independent judiciary, is economical with the truth, believes President Ass-Ad and thinks it is still important on the world stage. Why on earth it was allowed into the G8 is a mystery.

But, Cameron's blunder and Obama error of judgement, means that the West has exchanged the Cold War for the Faux War. The Chinese must be laughing in their bird's nest soup.
