The petition was created by Paul Dimoldenberg and reads:
'We the undersigned petition Westminster City Council to to
urge the Mayor to keep Westminster Fire Station in Greycoat
Place open. Westminster is a densely populated part of central
London; it is the seat of Government with tens of thousands of
people working here requiring the highest standards of fire
cover 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The proposal to close
Greycoat Place Fire Station will reduce the local Fire
Service's capacity to respond as quickly and effectively as
necessary to safeguard life, property and businesses.".'
